Welcome to Uganda Veterinary Association
We are an umbrella organization that promotes and protects the interests of veterinarians in Uganda and collaborate with other stakeholders in the Animal Industry and are a fully registered professional body.
UVA has five regional branches, namely: Northern, Eastern, Western, Central, West -Nile with fully registered executive members, offices and bank accounts. The Association has 668 registered members working in public and private sectors. UVA is governed by a constitution, which spells out the aims and objectives of the Association.

Vision: To see a transformed and economically vibrant animal industry in Uganda.
Mission: to foster socio-economic development and improved livelihoods through optimisation of animal resources

Therefore UVA will measure success in terms of sustainable development impact in the communities where the institutions are located. To this end, UVA focuses on knowledge transfer and uses a collaborative approach that combines analytical skills, practical solutions, and sound management.
